Wollongong Wolves have won the 2000-2001 season. In an exciting final they defeated South Melbourne 2-1 at Parramatta stadium. Controversy surrounded the entire Grand Final day but Australian football skills came to the rescue to show all onlookers exactly what we could do. Through out the week the Australian football team playing in the Confederations Cup beat World Champions France and Brazil. A week Australian football should never forget. Next seasons domestic competition is already having trouble. With the axing of 2 teams for the coming year neither team is happy and legal action looks likely.
